Charlie Rivers was formerly Charleston market chief executive officer for SouthTrust Bank. Charlie is a native of Charleston and has over 25 years of banking experience in the Charleston market and is an active member of the Charleston Community. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
W. Stanley Ashburne
Chief Credit Officer
Stan Ashburne has over 32 years experience in commercial lending and credit administration. Most recently, Stan served as regional credit officer and senior vice president of SouthTrust Bank in Charleston where he was responsible for the overall credit quality of the loan portfolio in North and South Carolina. Stan served in the US Navy and is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the South Carolina Bankers School.
Joseph P. Laferte, Jr.
Chief Financial Officer
Joe Laferte has over 20 years experience in accounting and is a certified public accountant. Most recently, Joe served as senior vice president of operations and finance for SouthTrust Bank in Charleston where he was in charge of accounting for seven markets. Joe is a graduate of Clemson University.
Willard R. Stout
Commercial Banking Manager
Willard Stout has 30 Years commercial banking experience beginning his career with 5 years of regulatory service with the FDIC, including 20 years Commercial Banking in the Charleston market. Mr. Stout previously held various management roles during his tenure with Bank of America and SouthTrust Bank. Mr. Stout is a 20 year resident of Mt Pleasant and Business School Graduate from the University of SC.
Kathy Hall
Retail Bank Administrator
Kathy Hall has over 14 years Retail Banking experience to include Teller Management, Customer Service, Operations, Branch Management and Retail Loan Officer. She began her banking career with First Citizens and was employed for 9 years with SouthTrust Bank. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Southern Wesleyan University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is currently on the Charleston March of Dimes Board of Directors and an active community volunteer.
